Erin & Steven: Thank you for helping us celebrate our wedding on February 19, 2012 in San Francisco. We appreciate all the support of our families and friends.

We look forward to celebrating with you.

WHEN: Sunday February 19, 2012 at 5pm
WHERE: Temple Emanuel, 2 Lake Street, San Francisco, California 94118

We are grateful that you'll be able to celebrate with us. We value you – our family and friends – for all you have done to support us.

We've been asked about wedding registry.

Instead of registering for house ware and other traditional gifts, we instead request that you either donate to several non-profits that are important to us or to our honeymoon.

Here are some non-profits and causes in which we have been personally involved.

We'd be grateful if you could donate to one or more of these groups if you want to give us a wedding gift. You can donate directly via the links below (and just note that it is for our wedding and let us know so we can thank you).

  Run for Teachers

Run For Teachers is an annual charity 5K run/walk/watch in honor of Tracey Lurie-Sklar and to raise money for education in South Africa and India. Tracey was a teacher who was born in South Africa and was dedicated to improving the lives of her students.

Our Story: "After Steven's older sister Tracey died on November 6, 2008, my friends wanted to provide support to me and my family. We started the annual Run For Teachers 5K charity run as a tangible way for them to help by raising funds for education in South Africa and India. Turnout at the run in each of the past 3 years has been tremendous and my friends and family have made a real difference for children around the world"

(NOTE: When completing the form above, please type
"Nadel Endowment" in the field labeled "other" in order to allocate the money to research in pulmonary diseases including asthma, emphysema, lung cancer, fibrotic lung disease, and lung transplantation.)

Temple Emanuel is one of the country's leading synagogues and the oldest congregation west of the Mississippi River (founded in 1850 after the California gold rush brought people to San Francisco). The synagogue and its members are committed to the enduring values of love of family, education, philanthropy, mitzvot—righteous deeds, and tikkun-haolam—the repair of the world.

Our Story: Erin and Steven regularly attend services at Emanuel and appreciate the vibrant and caring community it has created. Erin and Steven: "We enjoy the spirituality we find at Emanuel as well as appreciate the life-long friends we have made, the world-class leaders they have and the difference that its members make in the community. We're honored to be members and have our wedding at Emanuel."

We are still finalizing plans for our honeymoon (likely this summer). For instance, we could choose to support the Greek economy and Eurozone by visiting there.

We are still determining the date and location of our honeymoon in 2012. We'd love to hear your input and recommendations.
